Well it happened...

I turned the big 25! I am a quarter of a century old! I remember when I was younger my mom told me to enjoy the teen years because after that time flies.. well she wasn't kidding! There are days where I just want to slow the hands of time down!

I had a wonderful birthday this year! We actually celebrated my birthday for two days lol! Well we celebrated my birthday on the 13th because Lance had to work on my birthday the 14th. On the 13th Lance took me fishing.. it was so relaxing-- but we did come back empty handed! Then that night Lances mom took us out to dinner to Mi Casita and then we came back to our house where we had cake and ice cream! (Lance had baked me a cake) :) Bobette got me a gift card for maurices and Lance and the kids got me a zune and the Blackberry Curve! I know they spoiled me! :) Then we cuddled up and watched a movie!

On my birthday my mom, grandma and uncle took me out to lunch were we visited and laughed for a good 2 hours! When my mom and Grandma get together they crack me up!! :) My mom got me a tackle box and $100 gift certificate! and my grandma got me a pink tool box with all pink tools so Lance doesn't steal them from me lol and my grandpa got me a new fishing pole! I am super excited to get out and use my new pole.. I just wish I had more time!! :) Then lucky me my husband got off early and took me to dinner! So I was an overly-stuffed happy birthday girl! It was an awesome birthday! I love my family so much and was happy that we all got to spend time together!! :)

Gabes 6th Birthday

Happy Birthday Gabe! On August 9th we celebrated Gabe's 6th birthday! Where has the time gone!? I feel like we just celebrated his 5th birthday and wow we are already on the 6th! My little man is growing up!

This year Gabe decided he wanted to have a mario birthday as his theme! And instead of doing a cake.. we decided on doing cupcakes.. and they turned out so cute!! :)

We celebrated his birthday at Centennial park-- which turned out to be a wonderful place! We had to bring our own BBQ grill but that's okay.. It all turned out wonderful! We had hot dogs, pasta salad, chips, BBQ beans and macaroni salad! It was delicious! The kids had a blast playing at the park! He got tons of cool gifts this year-- he got the new wii sports, a scooter, a slip and slide, a nerf gun, tons of cars, clothes and some games! :) I think me and Lance enjoy the scooter and the wii sports more than he does ;) LOL

The camping trip.....

During Lance's vacation we decided to go camping. We were so excited, we stocked up on food, borrowed my Grandpa's camper trailer, bought fishing licenses -- we were ready to go!! :) We like to try different places so we decided to go up by Meeks Cabin. The drive going through there was so beautiful! I remember going there on my 6th grade field trip there and it was so much fun! We decided beforehand that we were not going to stay at a campground because we were never really fond of them and we hate paying for them lol :) Well this is where some of the trouble began..... We drove around for a good half an hour looking at spots but none of them were that great so we decided to go ahead and drive through the campground to look. Well we found a couple of spots nothing that great but would work if we didn't find anything else, so then we decided well lets drive up the road further and see if we find something better! We loaded back in the truck and off we went.. up the road and up the road further till finally we were on this skimpy little road that lead to NO-WHERE (at least not by truck with camper)! By this time we were so frustrated because we went so far up just to have to turn around and go all the way back! So back to the campground we go! Talk about frustrating! Things were not going out way that's for sure!

So we got to the campground paid the fee and unloaded. Woo hoo here we come fish!!

There was a little trail from our camping area down to the lake so we gathered up everything and strolled on down! Well come to find out it was the biggest mud pit ever, we couldn't even stand there without sinking into the mud! Gabe lost his shoes in the mud, Rynn was covered and the fishing polls were just a mess! So back up to the campground we go! With no fish, one shoe and messy Rynn!

*This picture does no just justice of what Rynn looked like with all the mud, this was just what was left over from her face, I forgot to take the muddy picture*

We all just decided to hang out at the campground because at that time it was the best thing for us to do lol!

Lance brought his BB gun and taught Gabe how to shoot it! That was pretty interesting but with the luck we were having.. I am happy to report that nothing went wrong!! :)

After playing around it was getting pretty late so we decided to start the campfire and get dinner ready! Everything went well-- we ate, we chatted you know the usual! Not too long after we laid Rynn down for bed and she was coughing up a storm, she had a little cough for a couple days but nothing too extreme.. so I was just thinking she had some allergies or something! So off to bed Rynn went and then soon after that off to bed we all went! An hour later wake up time-- Rynn had woke up, so I went and grabbed her but she had puked all over this place! So needless to say we were up all night with a sick baby and of course while we weren't in the comfort of our own home! Sunrise hit -- we packed up and home we came!! And all I can say is no more camping for us this summer but next summer will be an all new adventure! Stay tuned!! :)

Something new...

This summer we decided to put Gabe into his first sport, which turned out to be soccer! We wanted him to play tee-ball but I missed the sign-ups so he got to play soccer instead! It is so funny watching the kids play.. they are so cute! We can also say that you can for sure tell this is his first year lol. There were many times the ball would go on by him because he was very busy watching the clouds or the planes lol! :) Or he would see that I was taking a picture and just stop where he was so I could take it! My funny man!

Gabe says he doesn't like soccer but when he starts playing.. I think he loves it! :) I think we are going to try indoor soccer this winter and see what he thinks of that too! We enjoyed going to the games and watching the kids, it was a pretty fun experience!
